Professional Autoclave Cleaning (Preventative Maintenance)

Interstate Microscope, LLC strongly recommends a professional cleaning overhaul on autoclave (sterilizer) equipment if the chamber contains build-up of rust, greenish or black residue accumulated from paper and cloth wraps, or mold and algae in the reservoir of your sterilizer. Processing sterile goods under these conditions can be at the least smelly, but more importantly can be less efficient than processing in a clean chamber. Also sensors, valves and tubes are effected. The heat radiation processes needs clean uniform surfaces to insure a fully effective drying cycle. Our preventative maintenance cleaning service will help reduce the frequency of equipment malfunction and the risk of sudden failure of the system. Preventative maintenance includes cleaning chamber, reservoir, tray holder, and trays with a solution that is super effective. and safe in dissolving the crud & removing the nasty residue from the stainless steel components. Furthermore, we clean reservoir and the plumbing tubes channeling into it by using another solution that will flush out the build up of gunk or other foreign matter. This cleaning solution is ran through a few sterilization cycles through the plumbing system to insure harmful deposits in the valves and tubes are removed, then we drain the solution and flush out the tubes with distilled water. We also test the temperature and timer and do an electrical safety test. We then strive to provide this service on-site in your lab and it generally takes about 3 hours to service an autoclave(sterilizer) if no known problems are discovered during our testing procedures and no repairs are needed. Loaner autoclaves are provided when necessary. We have a good selection of used autoclaves, both manual and automatic. If you have an autoclave you don't use, we may like to buy it.

Before we can perform a cleaning on a sterilizer we need to know the make, model #, and serial number of your autoclave, and if you're having any other issues with it so that we can obtain correct parts necessary to restore your autoclave in good working order. As the autoclave is being cleaned we inspect valves, filters, gaskets, and electronic components to insure reliable service. This scheduled cleaning and inspection will prolong the dependable life of your autoclave. Get a free estimate below based on your type of autoclave/sterilizer!
